Yes, and that's exactly the point: a turtleneck has never really been in or out of fashion. It's been in the wardrobe of men who don't concern themselves with trends for decades. What does change is the fit, and we deliberately keep it understated: neither extremely tight nor extremely loose.
The simplest approach: one color, no plaid or print underneath. A black or dark brown turtleneck under a blazer works in the office, or with straight jeans or chinos on the weekend. Wear it loose over your pants if the sweater falls straight, and tuck it in only if you're showing a belt. There are no other rules.
That depends on the collar. A collar that's too tight or too stiff can indeed be uncomfortable. Our collar is knitted in one piece from fine merino wool, so it gives with movement and fits without pinching. Anyone who quickly gets a feeling of tightness from a collar will notice the difference with a thick, stiff woolen collar right away.
With many turtleneck sweaters, the collar is sewn on separately, and it's precisely at that seam where it stretches out or starts to ripple. With ours, the collar is knitted in one piece, without a seam. This way it maintains its shape, even after you've pulled it over your head hundreds of times.
Start with black if it's your first turtleneck: a black turtleneck for men goes with everything and is the easiest to pair. Dark brown and taupe are softer and somewhat less formal, grey marl sits in between. Navy blue is the alternative for those who find black too harsh.
