No. Merino fibers are much finer than those of regular sheep's wool, which means they give way against the skin instead of pricking. That's why you can wear a merino sweater directly over a T-shirt or on bare skin. Anyone who has ever had a stiff wool sweater will notice the difference immediately.
Less often than you might think. Merino wool barely absorbs odor, so usually airing it out overnight is enough. If washing is necessary, wash at 30 degrees using the wool cycle with wool detergent, and let the sweater dry flat, not hanging. Our article on washing merino wool has all the steps.
Every wool sweater may shed some fibers initially: loose fibers that come loose. With our sweaters, this is limited because they are knitted seamlessly in one piece, so there are fewer friction points. After the first few weeks, it naturally decreases. Any remaining fibers can be removed with a wool comb.
Our sweaters fit true to size: simply choose your usual size. If you're between two sizes, choose the smaller one for a fitted fit and the larger one if you're wearing a shirt underneath.
